A Day in the Life of a Material Handler at ProVia
What does a material handler do each day? At ProVia, the day starts by stocking sash material at the workstation, then weather-stripping and sealing the sash before it gets stocked and eventually cut to size.
Daily notes are kept for part selection to ensure the line stays stocked with everything needed to keep production moving. Other regular duties include delivering material across the floor and restocking product bins at various locations throughout the facility. The material handler is the link between supply and production — making sure every line has what it needs to keep running.
Staying open to trying different jobs throughout the workday is part of how this role keeps growing. Each new task is a chance to learn something new.
