In-Demand Jobs Week and Invading Tusc
In-Demand Jobs Week is a statewide Ohio celebration highlighting career pathways and opportunities, held each year during the first full week of May. The initiative underscores the Stark-Tuscarawas Workforce Development Board's commitment to fostering economic growth and supporting people in their pursuit of meaningful, sustainable careers.
The Stark-Tuscarawas Workforce Development Board partnered with several organizations to develop a video series called Invading Tusc — a social media campaign highlighting in-demand career opportunities right here in Tuscarawas County. Area high school students hosted the series, spending time with workers in three in-demand career fields at each participating employer. Each video uses a "day in the life" format, with employees sharing their personal experiences through a compelling voiceover narration.
The series gives viewers an insider look at some of the most sought-after professions in the region — the skills required, the qualifications, the pathways to get there, and what makes each career genuinely rewarding. To learn more and watch the full series, visit teamtuscarawas.com.
